Translation & Interpretation Booths
We offer a broad range of translation booths: these are ideal for simultaneous interpretation, meetings and conferences as they provide acoustic separation between interpreters, participants and attendees, building a comfortable working environment, allowing perfect visual and audio communication. We offer full size, sound-proof translation-interpretation booths, ISO 4043 compliant and table top interpretation-translation booths.
What is Simultaneous Interpreting:
Simultaneous interpretation is a very complex method of interpreting, mostly because interpreters convert what is said in real-time with no pauses in conversation. This type of interpretation is suited for large-scale events where a pause in conversation is not beneficial.
Interpreters use highly specialized wireless equipment and work in a soundproof cabin called “simultaneous interpreter booth”.
What is a portable Simultaneous Interpretation system?
A portable Simultaneous Interpretation system is a setup composed of a translation booth, microphones (wired or wireless) and a simultaneous interpreter console.
Portable & Mobile
Portable Translation Booths are little cabins designed to replace interpretation systems permanently built into conference facilities, therefore they have to be brought in and installed before the conference.
Interpreter booths have the very same features as stationary ones -such as lighting and ventilation- with the benefit that all the equipment is highly mobile.
Whispering Equipment
It is a portable set consisting of a wireless handheld transmitter and standard wireless receivers. This setup is really good for guided tours or when the people involved must move around, although, it is not convenient for a standard conference in a room.

Interpreter Microphones
There are 3 major options for interpreter microphones:
- Headset Microphone: The microphone is attached to the headset with a special flexible gooseneck arm. It is the best and the most convenient option. When moving your head, the distance between the interpreter mouth and the microphone does not change.
- Console-integrated Microphone: It is a less convenient but still very legitimate option. The top surface of the interpreter console has a dedicated microphone connector (usually XLR) the gooseneck microphone is inserted into.
- Standalone Tabletop Microphone: It is the least convenient option. A separate microphone in placed on the interpreter desk and connected to the console with a cable.
Other equipment in the Booth:
Other equipment in a simultaneous interpretation booth must include appropriate lighting, ventilation fans, chairs and may also include internet and power connections.
