The floor speaks
The floor audio goes into the IC-50 dual interpreter unit, which sends it automatically to any channel that is not in use.
The interpreter interprets
One or two interpreters monitor the floor, activate their microphone and route the interpretation to one of two language groups.

Each T-500 transmitter broadcasts one language channel. Listeners pick their channel on the R-120 receivers and keep their headphones on at all times.

Does this system translate automatically?
No. This system does not translate automatically. It can be used with a human interpreter or connected to a computer with translation software (not included in this bundle).
How many interpreters can use the IC-50?
The IC-50 console can accommodate two interpreters of the same language combination, with independent microphone and headphone volume controls for each position.
How does two-way interpretation work?
The IC-50 supports interpretation in both directions between two languages. Interpreters select Output A or B to send their audio to the matching T-500 transmitter, and each transmitter broadcasts one language channel to the receivers.
What is the operating range?
The operating range is 500 ft, expandable up to 1000 ft with an external antenna such as the optional ANT-501 remote antenna.
How many listeners can I add?
The system can be expanded to an unlimited number of receivers. The 25-person system includes 25 R-120 receivers with earphones.
How long do the receiver batteries last?
The R-120 receivers run up to 55 hours with alkaline AAA batteries and up to 40 hours with NiMH rechargeable AAA batteries.
What warranty does the system have?
The T-500 transmitters and R-120 receivers have a limited lifetime warranty. The IC-50 dual interpreter unit has a one-year warranty on parts and labor. Warranty and tech support are based in the US.
