The Enersound TSB-5 translation system provides wireless audio for five listeners during live, human-led interpretation. This simultaneous translation system combines a T-500 base transmitter with an interpreter monitor, five R-120 FM receivers, earphones and a headband microphone for meetings, schools and houses of worship.
A human interpreter is required. The equipment transmits the interpreter's voice; it does not translate speech automatically.
Hear the Speaker While Interpreting
The T-500's integrated interpreter monitor lets the interpreter listen to an external source-language audio feed through earphones while speaking into the microphone. Headphone volume control and a microphone mute button help the interpreter manage the session.

Wireless Interpretation System Features

- Selectable channels: 17 transmitter channels and 20 receiver channels.
- Coverage: Rated operating range of 500 feet. An optional external antenna can extend coverage up to 1,000 feet; actual coverage depends on installation and conditions.
- Listener controls: R-120 receivers feature an LCD screen, channel selection, volume adjustment and channel lock.
- Expandable audience: Add compatible receivers and earphones as your group grows.
Plan Your Setup
Arrange for an interpreter, power the transmitter and tune the receivers to its selected frequency. To use external monitoring, connect the speaker's audio feed to the transmitter's monitor input. Test the audio and reception before the event. Each R-120 receiver uses two AAA batteries.
The supplied transmitter carries one interpreted language at a time. Selectable channels do not mean that this kit broadcasts 17 languages simultaneously.
Limited Warranty
The T-500 transmitter and R-120 receivers carry Enersound's limited lifetime warranty for qualifying purchases. Accessories, including the microphone and earphones, carry a one-year warranty. Does this system translate speech automatically?
No. A human interpreter provides the translation. The TSB-5 broadcasts that person's voice wirelessly to the listeners' receivers.
Does the five-person capacity include the interpreter?
The kit includes five receivers for five listeners. Its six sets of earphones serve those listeners plus the interpreter, who uses the transmitter's monitoring connection.
What does the interpreter monitor do?
It lets the interpreter hear a connected source-language audio feed through earphones. This is an audio monitoring function, not a video display.
Can I expand the system for more listeners or languages?
Add compatible receivers for more listeners. Additional simultaneous languages require additional transmitters, microphones and interpreters; changing a receiver channel alone does not add a language.
Is the CAS-10 carrying case included?
Only with the carrying-case configuration. The No Case option includes the translation equipment without the CAS-10 case.
